Overview

Huy's File Downloader is a Chrome extension that finds supported downloadable links on the page you are viewing and starts downloads you select. Your privacy is important: the extension does not collect, sell, transmit, or share your personal data.

Information the extension accesses

After you open the extension popup, it temporarily accesses the active tab to examine only link URLs from top-level <a href> elements. It uses these URLs solely to identify supported filename extensions, show category counts, and start the downloads you choose.

The extension does not read page text, forms, passwords, cookies, browsing history, or content from embedded frames. It does not make network requests to classify links.

Local storage

The extension stores the following preferences locally in your browser using Chrome storage:

• Your selected file-type filters (PDF, Images, Docs, and Media).
• Your selected download destination mode and optional Downloads-relative subfolder.

These preferences are used only to restore the extension interface. They are not sent to any server.

Downloads

When you choose to download files, the extension sends the selected link URLs to Chrome's built-in download manager. Downloads are handled by Chrome according to your Chrome settings. The extension cannot read or set your absolute Downloads path.

Data sharing

Huy's File Downloader does not operate a server, use analytics, include advertising, or share data with third parties.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be included with the extension.
